How to transfer coins to wallet? (please dont upvote – just a simple question)

I've been reading this sub for a while. Im planning on buying soon, and also buying a hardware wallet. How to transfer the coins from there to the wallet? Also, I will buy the trezor wallet lite, it seems like a well respected brand. Is it possible for me to be scammed by the company that made the wallet? What is the best wallet?
