Where to store ETH

I’m thinking of buying 1 eth and HODLING for awhile and slowly add purchase more and mkre as I go along. People keep other crypto such as BTC on a ledger is there anything similar I should do with me ethereum or is it safe keeping it on something like Binance and letting it sit on there? I’m only looking to hold for like a year or so not super super long term
