Why are user MOON counts so publicly shown?
Right now the second highest post on the sub is "PSA: Do not tell people you own crypto or how much you own" and that advice is parroted nearly every day in the daily threads.
So why is it we publicly broadcast the MOON counts of every user? Every single post we make has our MOON counts next to it for everyone to see. Not only can you not seem to hide that function, but the mods openly post an entire spreadsheet of everyone's moon counts each month as well as have a leaderboard where you can constantly see the people with the top MOONs.
Right now the value of 1 MOON is $0.083067 USD which means the people holding hundreds of thousands of Moons are already broadcasting they are have tens of thousands of dollars worth of crypto. If prices of MOONs rose again which they have plenty of times in the past, then that is a fairly large security risk for a large amount of users. Especially considering we are told to keep our MOONs on Reddit to make sure they will carry over to mainnet and we'll get bonus MOON bonuses each month – so we don't even have the protection of exchanges that might flag a compromised account and prevent it to be emptied to some random wallet all at once.
Am I missing something or are there any plans to remedy this?
