Remember how sketchy Crypto used to be?
Buying Bitcoin on Mt. Gox a Cryptocurrency Exchange based in Japan. Whilst simultaneously hearing that BitCoin is only used for money laundering, criminal activities, silk road type stuff.
I remember ADA/Cardano had their ICO going on. Sending $200 to a guy calling you on a cell phone from Switzerland at 2AM in exchange for a digital asset that would just sit there for a decade. Sending pictures of my passport to people to verify my identity whilst thinking someone is for sure stealing my identity right now.
Here we are in 2021 and it's common practice, back then though. You had to have some balls giving out personal information for an asset that you hoped would lead to a positive outcome and not just your identity being used for nefarious purposes.
I'm glad everything worked out the way that it did. This isn't a shill post for ADA or BitCoin, just a trip down memory lane as to how trusting you had to be back in the day to buy something that had little to no value or traction and what it takes to take a leap of faith into Cryptocurrency.
Cheers!
