Its just nice to be in profit

This isnt a sob story or anything like that. This is actually a post on a newbies stupidity.

I started back in early February when everything was mooning. My CB account had 200 dollars worth of BTC in it from when i bought 50 dollars last may and forgot about it.

Actually came here from a 1700 dollar loss in GME, and was pissed at USD, and major stock exchanges. Pissed at corruption.

I quickly started looking in to things, but was scared it was gonna go down faster than 2017. so invested about 1000 dollars the first day, and literally made probably 40 trades the first day on Coinbase chasing moons.

Not Coinbase pro, Coinbase.

I lost so much due to fees that i wasn’t even aware of because when you make a transaction between coins on CB, it says “fee: 0.00 USD”. I assumed the transactions were free. i kept doing this for weeks and was wondering why i couldnt break even and my money was dwindling.

In March i began some more serious research, finding out what each coin does, how mkcap influences price and so on. about 3 weeks ago i finally made my decisions on which coins i want to HODL for years (pending black swan news) and have been steadily DCA’ing.

I started using CB pro for the majority of my coins, and using XLM to trade between exchanges for a couple alts.

Im not over diversified. Im paying minimum for fees now (through trial and error)

And somehow, with somewhere close to 5k invested, and 2 months in an intense bull market, i broke profit for the first time again yesterday.

It may all disappear again, but im excited to continue DCA’ing into the dips. Even if it drops 80 percent or some shit.

But regardless, i finally know the feeling of being in net profit, and it feels very very nice. And i learned how to not make the same dumbass mistakes again anytime soon.
