Stake Pool Recommendations?

Okay so I’m researching into putting a relatively small amount of ETH (2-3) into a stake pool, but I’m having trouble finding reliable information. I use Coinbase so that will be an option when it goes live, but I’m not sure when that’s supposed to be. I know Kraken has that option but I’m not sure if it’s worth opening an account. Also, I’d rather do it in a decentralized way, but also want some assurance that the funds are safe.

Is there a good guide somewhere as to what pools are working properly and the pros and cons of each? Or any tips people here can provide me? I know it’s not a huge amount, but it’s still like $5k and I want to make sure it’s safe while staked.
