As a crypto noob, I’d like to know your opinion of ETH in the short run.

Until last week I had 0,2 ETH, not a large number. However, considering the L2 delay I heard that it would be bear-ish in the short term, so I swapped to minor altcoins just to play a bit. Those altcoins grew, but ETH also did. I'm planning on buying USD 1k of ETH next week to hold because, as a lot of people say, it is the most serious project out there. Thing is that I don't know if it is the right moment to do it, so I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter.
