Setting up pool

Hi everyone. I need help and hopefully someone has a clue. I have been following the instructions on GitHub to set up a pool but no success. Every one of them I try I get unexplained token. Has anyone set one up recently and have an updated code? I’m using Ubuntu in vm and the correct version
