Circulating supply, demand, tokenomics, fundamentals, project development and use cases play a role in its growth or decline. The reason why bitcoin per dollar is in the tens of thousands because there are only 18.6m in circ. Compare that to 51c XRP which has 45 billion. XRP did worse than BTC in the past 90d.
