Ethereum Fees dont mke sense

Hello,

Anybody know why it doesn't cost more in fees if I process a transaction that's 10000 larger than someone else?

Or less if im transferring 10000 less than the other.

Isnt it based on based on how much 'work' needs to be done? Next question: Does it take longer to transfer a larger amount than a small amount?
