Debugging RVN node

I'm trying to run a RVN node 4.3.2.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. I built from source with the -disable-wallet option, and I have a couple of questions:

1) The -maxconnections is reduced from 1000 to 861 due to system limitations. Is this a concern?

2) Running raven-cli getconnectioncount returns 12, which seems a bit low. How many connections should I expect? Is a node with 12 connections any use to the network?

3) My node doesn't appear on ravennodes.com. Does that mean the node is not properly available to the network?

4) How can I debug this situation? When using ravend -debug, I get no additional output.
