Will the new ethereum EIP-1559 cause the ethereum price to surge?

I'm a bit sceptical if the EIP-1559 update to ethereum will actually cause the price to surge because normally the release of the news of the update in itself caused the spike in ethereum prices but will this actually cause more people to buy ethereum cause the gas fees are lower or will it cause the other smaller capped alt-coins on uniswap to surge due to lower fees?
