Cryptocurrency history time – Hal Finney, the first Bitcoin transaction recipient and possible creator of Bitcoin

Found out about Hal Finney today, he was the first bitcoin recipient and was cryopreserved (storage of a human corpse or severed head, with the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future).

He received bitcoins from Satoshi Nakamoto, which he denied was him. He lived in the same town as Dorian Nakamoto (another person that people speculate to be Satoshi).

According to wired article:

Finney spotted Satoshi Nakamoto's bitcoin whitepaper on a cryptography mailing list in 2008 and immediately began exchanging emails with him, eventually helping to debug its code, perform its first test transactions, and mine a substantial hoard of the cryptocurrency.
