Mining Newb

Might be posting this wrong or maybe I didn't search well enough but does anyone one here spec and offer build outs for people new to mining. I see some of the basics post but it's not all in one spot. Unless I'm completely missing something. I could buy ETH and then buy RVN but I do want to mine as well. I have low energy costs and excellent internet as I work from home. Just looking for advice. Thank you!
