As of now Bitcoin is “officially“ the best asset of the year and it seems to be very possible that this will als how Bitcoin ends this year too.

If we would just look at this year up to now, you could most-definitely compare the price gains of BTC to the price gains we would have during a bull market. We were up 80% from our bear market low in November at one point and have peaked at a 76% gain just in this year. Currently we are also 69% up even with this small dip. This is a number literally no one could have predicted last year to happen now.

Bitcoins Year-to-Date performance

Even better as this rally has been completely exclusive to Crypto, we did not just follow stock markets but in fact made up our completely own way while stock markets were dumping down.

This decoupling from stock markets then rally upwards and also being used as an hedge against the current banking crisis has made Bitcoin to the best asset so far this year and that for three months already. This is nothing we Crypto people decided but Goldman Sachs themselves have said:

It certainly speaks volume once a bank puts Bitcoin above their own traditional assets as the best performer of the year.

Moreover, I personally believe that Bitcoin definitely has the capability to even end this year as the best asset. Stock markets will be under pressure due to banks and other macro uncertainties, Gold is not capable of having the same big gains as Bitcoin and thus wont catch up, same With Treasury and bonds.
