I got a question about hiveOS / raveOS

I've noticed that the OS reduces the partition size to the minimum, if you use a 64gb thumb drive it will transform it into a 1 gb drive, but the shell has an option to expand the partition size to match the disk size.. is there a benefit to this? or should I just leave the partition size on the default size?
