No submitted shares on 1660s

Hi, I’m running trex miner on 2miners pool, I was normally getting 600-700 submitted shares overnight (6-8 hours) when I leave it to run. However this morning after an uptime of 6 hours I managed to submit only 36 shares. As of writing this post now, I have since restarted my miner and its been running for almost 2 hours with no single shares submitted. My single 1660s is running at 8.16mh/s and I had ran the 2miners ping tool which pings me on average 1-2ms. Also checked my batch file and all is set up correctly. Is it the recent 1.9% increase of difficulty as reported on whattomine? However I doubt a 1.9% increase would stop me from submitting shares which then stops my block rewards. Am I being a dumbass and missing something here which I hope I am at this point. Thanks a lot!
