Question about transaction

Hi, sorry if this sound stupid, but I’m new into this. My scenario is the following: I sent Aave ETH to a ETH wallet that only accepted ETH, so the destination wallet doesn’t have my crypto, but the initial wallet marked the transaction as successful, does this mean that my crypto is lost? Any help is really appreciated.
