MyEtherWallet or MyCrypto to begin with?

A new community member here, I've decided (if all things go well) to dollar-cost average and invest in ETH. After some research I've limited my wallet choice to the two I mentioned in the tittle. My strategy is simple: Create a wallet, backup everything then delete the wallet software and treat it like a paper/cold storage and only send funds to it unless there's an urgent situation and I need to load my wallet online.

I'd appreciate your thoughts, insight and experience with the wallets. Thank you
