How to spare on gas fees using smart contracts

Hey all,

The gas fees for using smart contracts are incredible high atm. I want to participate in some defi projects but I just can't because of the gas fees. Just now I should have paid 120 usd in gas fee to use a decentralised exchange.

Are there ways to decrease the gas fees when interacting with smart contracts? For example some layer 2 solutions?
