Moving my savings into a stablecoin?

Would have posted it r/bitcoin but "shitcoins" aren't allowed there…

Moved a large portion of my savings into ETH and am happy with the results. Kind of want to move the rest of my money into crypto. Can someone explain the risk behind moving my bank savings into like Tether, something connected to the dollar? Other than keeping it on an exchange, I understand the risk of that.
