Can Decentralized Autonomous Organizations be used to supplant traditional labor unions?

Just as the title says. Thought it would be an interesting discussion since I think the reason labor unions have fallen out of favor is because their methods are outdated for a modern world. Maybe DAOs are the answer?

Totally just conjecture so if anyone has any thoughts please feel free to comment

Edit: just removing the hierarchal nature of the Unions in my opinion makes them more appealing
